After the successful release of the Redmi Note 12R Pro in April, Xiaomi is set to unveil the base model, the Redmi Note 12R, on June 30th in China. With a unique blend of enhanced features and modern aesthetics, the phone promises to offer a competitive edge in the mid-range smartphone segment.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12R features the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, expected to be more powerful and efficient than its predecessor due to the switch from a 6 nm to a 4 nm node. It is believed to come with two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores capped at 1.95 GHz, and an Adreno 619 GPU. It’s also anticipated to support LPDDR5-3200 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage.
While the Redmi Note 12R is set to hit the Chinese market in June, its global availability remains a mystery. This model, however, signifies Xiaomi’s commitment to providing advanced features and power-packed performance in its mid-range smartphone offerings.
