Samsung Unveils Battery Capacities for Galaxy Watch6 Series
Samsung has recently certified the whole Galaxy Watch6 series excluding the LTE devices. As the photos below demonstrate, new certifications have disclosed battery capacity for four Galaxy Watch6 versions, while the regular Galaxy Watch 6 has been observed previously. By the way, earlier this month, GalaxyClub found an analogous certification for the Galaxy Watch5’s LTE edition, identified by its SM-R935x model number.
The Galaxy Watch6 series has now been discovered in China by SamMobile. Samsung intends to supply the following models and battery capacities based on the information provided:
- Galaxy Watch6 40mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 44mm: 425mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 Classic 42mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 Classic 46mm: 425mAh
By comparison, the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic will feature batteries that are 5.6% and 3.6% bigger than those of the smaller Galaxy Watch5 respectively. At this time, it is unclear if Samsung will continue to sell the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which did away with the physical rotating bezel of the Classic. However, Samsung also included a 590 mAh battery, which in our tests provided two day runtimes.
The Galaxy Watch6 series does not yet have a set release date. Expect the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic to be released in August during an in-person and live-streamed launch event, if Samsung sticks to the same schedule as prior years. Samsung will presumably also unveil the Galaxy Z series at the same time, which is anticipated to include the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
