Motorola Edge 40, the World’s Slimmest 5G Phone, Leaks its Price on Flipkart
Motorola is gearing up to shake up the Indian smartphone market with the release of the Motorola Edge 40, set to launch on May 23rd. Dubbed the world’s slimmest 5G smartphone, the Edge 40 was recently unveiled globally and has garnered attention for its IP68 dust and water resistance.
An inadvertent revelation on Flipkart gave us a glimpse of the Edge 40’s price in India ahead of the official launch. The smartphone is expected to retail for Rs 27,999, with pre-orders commencing on the day of the launch itself. The device will be exclusively available on Flipkart, with no-cost EMI options starting at Rs 5,000 per month.
Under the hood, the Edge 40 sports a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor. This, combined with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensures a smooth and lag-free user experience. The 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display features a 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support, promising excellent visuals.
The camera setup doesn’t disappoint, either. The Edge 40 comes equipped with a dual-camera arrangement boasting a 50MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Selfie enthusiasts will appreciate the 32MP front camera.
The phone’s 4,400mAh battery provides substantial power, further boosted by 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. The Edge 40 also includes an array of advanced features such as Dolby Atmos-supported stereo speakers, a vegan leather finish, and an IP68 rating. Out of the box, the Edge 40 runs on Android 13, ensuring users access to the latest features and updates.
The Motorola Edge 40, available in Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue color options, will be a compelling addition to the mid-range smartphone market. With its launch just around the corner, Indian consumers eagerly await the chance to experience the world’s thinnest 5G phone.
