Kingston Unveils New XS1000 External SSD with Speeds up to 1,050MB/s
Kingston has introduced the XS1000 external SSD, delivering blazing fast transfer speeds in an ultra-compact design. Weighing just 28 grams, the XS1000 features a sleek, all-black casing that easily fits in your palm or pocket.
Despite its diminutive size, the XS1000 provides up to 2TB of storage capacity and leverages USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity to achieve read speeds up to 1,050MB/s. This makes it ideal for on-the-go file backups and storing large libraries of photos, videos, documents, and more. The XS1000 uses 3D NAND flash memory to enable its impressive performance.
Measuring just 69.54 x 32.58 x 13.5mm, the XS1000 is less than half the size of a standard SSD. It offers backwards compatibility with USB 3.2 Gen 1 for seamless use with older devices. According to Kingston, the drive is reliable for continuous access to your important data while on the move.
The XS1000 joins the XS2000 in Kingston’s lineup of ultra-portable external SSDs. It comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable in the box for broad compatibility. The external SSD is available now in 1TB and 2TB variants starting at $65.99. It is supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android and iOS platforms.
With its pocket-friendly size paired with blazing fast transfer speeds, the Kingston XS1000 provides a convenient solution for portable backups and expanded storage across devices.
