Google Pixel 7a Set to Launch in India on May 11, Available for Purchase on Flipkart
Google is all set to unveil its latest mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 7a, at the Google I/O 2023 event on May 10. The tech giant has announced that the new Pixel phone will be available for purchase in India starting May 11 on Flipkart, one of the country’s most popular e-commerce platforms.
The Pixel 7a is expected to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a significant upgrade from the Pixel 6a’s 60Hz screen. It is rumored to be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset, along with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is said to come with a 4,410mAh battery and support for 18W wired charging technology.
The camera department is anticipated to offer a rear dual-camera setup, comprising a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. A 10.8MP front-facing camera is expected for selfies and video calls. The rear panel will have a horizontal camera module, reminiscent of previous Pixel phones.
Leaked information suggests that the Google Pixel 7a will be priced at SGD 749, which translates to approximately Rs. 46,000 in India. This puts it slightly above the Google Pixel 6a, which was priced at Rs. 43,999.
The Pixel 7a is expected to bring impressive features and performance at a competitive price, as it enters the Indian market on May 11. The official launch at the Google I/O 2023 event will reveal further details about the device, including any additional features or specifications not yet leaked.
